Picking up Christmas gifts for loved ones is usually a tricky one, but it’s always helpful if they love beauty and skincare products as Christmas is the time when most brands come out with exclusive gift boxes and special editions. Have a read below and see all the different options from top British and international brands; and make a tea – it’s a long one, that will hopefully inspire you for your Christmas shopping! I’ve had my eye on some of these from the July press previews, I promise, they are good!

If you like candles, you will most probably be a fan of the annual Christmas scents by Diptyque. The limited edition set contains all three scents for the perfect holiday gift. The illustrations for the full-size candles are created by Pierre Marie this season, with folklore vibes, for all three scents; pine (green), almond (red) and amber (blue).

The new ghd (which in case you didn’t know stands for ‘good hair days’) straighteners in a cool blue metallic hue, is the best gift for your hair-obsessed friend. Cire Trudon Odeurs d’Égypte candle set, £125 here
This triple medium-sized candle set by Cire Trudon is the perfect gift from you to you (or to someone else if you’re feeling generous)! The scents would work perfectly all year round and same goes for the beautiful candle jars, but this is in fact part of their Christmas collection. Inspired by ancient Egypt, the cream candle is Philæ (the Nile River), with vetiver, pepper and cedar, the green is Gizeh (the Pyramids), with cedar, patchouli and wood and the orange candle is all about Amon (the mysterious god), with rose, tonka bean and sandalwood. This will make the perfect travel companion by Slip, you might even be tempted to keep it for yourself! Hair clips may be in fashion at the moment, but this is a very special clip created by hair stylist Syd Hayes. This will create a chic hair look, that’s very versatile and will instantly make you look put-together. A luxurious candle that will look perfect in any house, this rose gold edition is part of the Christmas offering by Cire Trudon. A mix perfect for the festive season (and why not the rest of the year), it’s a warm mix of vanilla, cardamom, clove, orange and cinnamon.

A collection of mini and full-size products with the best-selling selection by British skincare brand Emma Hardie, is the perfect gift for skincare lovers. If for some reason you’d like to stay away from candles, the Christmas cracker with the paintbrush fragrance is an excellent choice. Easy to throw in your bag, and use when on the go or travelling the paintbrush is an innovative way in the fragrance world, and a great gift.

BYBI, this new eco-friendly brand should on your radar – they will be everywhere soon! Ready-made gift sets can often disappoint as a gift choice, but in this case you choose exactly what you include! The brand’s hero product is the BYBI Balm – a multi-purpose hydrating balm to use on chapped lips, as a highlight even as brow gel! Eve Lom is known for their iconic cleanser, which is the key in this Christmas set created to offer a radiant and glowy skin. Kevyn Aucoin NUDEPOP Pro Eyeshadow Palette, £46, here
The master makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin that set up the basis of modern makeup was known for his innovative creations. His namesake makeip brand couldn’t do anything different of course, and this palette is great for Christmas, parties and all-year round, as the combinations are endless. The 12 creamy shadows are all you need to create the day-to-night looks, and can be used wet or dry. Top tip; metallics are even more sparkling when used wet, spray your brush beforehand and have all the glitter and fun!

Another pick from Chantecaille is this super soft face brush, that’s also completely cruelty-free with its ombré synthetic bristles. It’s a full sized brush but with a shorter handle, which makes it perfect for travel can be used for foundation, bronzer, highlighter and everything in between.

As previously mentioned silk – especially the special mulberry silk of Slip – is the best thing for your hair, and their latest launch takes us back to the 90’s scrunchies, in a luxurious version. These silk scrunchies (pack of three; beige, baby pink and black) won’t damage your locks no matter the hairstyle.

A book is always a classic gift, and how about one written for beauty lovers, with the prettiest images you will immediately want to recreate yourself? The book written by hair stylist and entrepreneur Luke Hersheson will become the new favourite, to read, flick through and keep as a beautiful coffee table book.
