Simplicity, androgynous lines and minimalism are the epitome of the Margaret Howell style, and she didn’t disappoint with her Autumn Winter 14/15 collection.
She showed flirty midi silk skirts combined with white shirts or thick jumpers and black thick socks. Even from the first outfit we understand the feeling of the collection; relaxed, warm, comfortable and made from excellent materials, as seen with the extra long beige coat.
Other outfits that will definitely become next winter’s staples were the cashmere striped sweaters, the relaxed flowing velvet dresses, tartan as seen on silk fitted trousers and dresses, leather coated sheepskin-lined coats and jackets and relaxed corduroy blazer and trousers.
Most of the looks were combined with slouchy black beanies and flat shoes, which other designers are also promoting now. Good news for our feet for sure.
With a colour palette of black, navy, warm red, khaki and oatmeal white, this was a wearable collection with very interesting details and cuts.
For Day 3, I opted for flats as well, so I wore my Zara boots with skirt, jacket and coat by Two Hunting Pearls by Elena Ferti, Primark crop top, Anna Dello Russo for H&M necklace, Asos sunnies and Zara holographic bag.
