Top Instagram spots in Singapore

Where to go and where to Instagram in Singapore

At this day and age, it’s not enough to simply enjoy a place, we need a great Instagram photo to accompany the memories – a bit sad but true. So I wanted to share the places with the most Instagrammable potential, whether you are that way inclined. I found Singapore to have so many of these actually! They are nice spots to see and enjoy nonetheless.

I’m also working on a long post with a full list of recommendations and suggestions of things to do in Singapore.

The Merlion sculpture/fountain. Plus it’s the best spot to see the Marina Bay Sands building in all its glory. The Merlion is considered Singapore’s icon – a mythical creature with the head of a lion and body of a fish.

Within Gardens by The Bay, there is a bridge where you can see (and take a picture of) the MBS hotel, the Singapore Flyer, and the Trees. There are also the exhibitions if you decide to visit (like the Cloud Forest I mentioned previously).

The sunset from the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands hotel.

The colourful buildings in Chinatown and the two nearby temples.

The Tan ten Niag house at little India. We didn’t go though, see it here!

The Old Hill Street police station with its colourful windows.

Jewel Changi Airport waterfalls. The largest indoor waterfalls are truly magical. I’ve never seen such a pretty airport! You don’t want to leave! Go up on the top floor for the best view (and less people).

The bridge by Fullerton hotel at night to see the full Singapore skyline with lights on.

The room of colourful lights within the ArtScience museum.

Joo Chiat Road and its amazing colourful houses! The old shop fronts have been kept in great condition and if you like colours you will love these. This is part of the Peranakan culture and houses like these are seen around town, Chinatown and more, but you will find these specifically on Koon Seng Road.

Similarly there is a road near Chinatown, called Blair Road with a few houses like the aforementioned complete with colourful tiles. The Spiral Staircases nearby look pretty but we didn’t go.

The 7 storey pagoda ane the twin pagodas in the Chinese Garden.

The suspension bridge at Palawan Beach of Sentosa Island.

At the bottom of Fort Canning there is a spiral staircase, that opens up to the trees overhead. Find the perfect spot looking up and the end picture will be a natural masterpiece.
