We visited Thailand end of May-early June and did a lot of research regarding the monsoon season and where we could go to avoid the rain. Overall we really enjoyed it, the food was great, the people were lovely and there's a lot to see, especially if you like Buddhist temples.
Naxos, the biggest island in the Cyclades, it’s famous for it' cheese, meat, archeological sites and long stretches of sandy beaches. You can also find Kitron a local liqueur made from a fruit in the citrus family (buy this from Probonas store in town). 
One of the Ionian islands that can be reached by car seemed like the perfect choice to avoid planes and ferries during a Covid summer. I wasn't expecting to like it so much!
Sifnos is an island in the south of the Cyclades. It's known as a foodie destination, as one of the best Greek chefs and one of the most established Greek cookery writers, that went on to publish hundreds of books on cooking, Nikolaos Tselementes, was from Sifnos.
