September beauty empties

September beauty empties

My monthly empties are a way to review products I’ve finished and encourage you to finish up products before opening new ones! Less waste and more reviews! Mini reviews of Maria Nila, Grow Gorgeous, Omorovicza and more

This summer I finished up so many body empties, mainly shower and body creams. Last month I finished 3 body creams – see them here.

Let’s start with BODY + HAIR CARE empties!

The Bioten Supreme Hyaluronic body cream (can’t find it in the UK, but in Greece get it here for €4.45, 250ml) worked well, it was well priced but I didn’t love it.

Wouldn’t repurchase

The Nature Box Shower Gel (£4.84, 385ml) is awesome! They moisturise the skin – I love a shower oil but haven’t been able to find one in this price range – and smell SO good. I tried the almond too but was too sweet, so not a valid alternative to my beloved (but expensive) L’Occitane. However the macademia oil one was a winner!! They are a Greek brand actually, which makes me happy to support a brand from my home country.

Have already repurchased

The Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Blanc Body Lotion (£32.50, 200ml). This mini was from a hotel and if you like perfumed, luxe, body creams you NEED this. You won’t need to put perfume with this on. It’s a mix of tea, white pepper, musk and amber.

Would repurchase but haven’t yet

Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo (£25, 350ml)* this shampoo lives up to its name! Argan oil to soften and nourish. Non-irritating, vegan and cruelty free and in CO2 compensated packaging.

Would repurchase

Grow Gorgeous Growth Serum Intense (£45, 60ml)* – get a 20% discount using code LFFTFANI (affiliate). This really works and helped my hair grow faster. I’ve written a full review on my Instagram, see below.

Would repurchase 100%

SKINCARE EMPTIES

Omorovicza Cashmere Cleanser (£52, 100ml)* is one of the most luxurious cleansers I’ve tried. There are definitely cheaper alternatives but the texture really is divine, so if you’re after a luxe option, this might just be the one!

Would repurchase

Urban Veda Radiance Hydrating Toner (£12.99, 150ml) worked well, it’s lightweight and a typical toner in texture, but I wish it wasn’t that heavily scented. I don’t mind fragrance most of the time, but this was way too strong.

Wouldn’t repurchase

Bio-essence Bird’s Nest + Peptides sheet mask (£23 for 10) – got this in Singapore and I really liked how soft and juicy it left my skin! I generally don’t use many sheet masks as I find them a bit wasteful, but there are loads in my collection that I need to get through.

Would repurchase for the effect, but not for the waste

Patchology Eye Gels Perk Up (£15 for 5)* – I find these super soothing and an instant hydration boost for the eye area. Of course the effect wears off after a while but it’s good for a quick fix, like before a meeting or an event. I wish these came in a bigger boxes as the individual wrapping is very wasteful.

Would repurchase

MAKEUP EMPTIES

Nars Orgasm Multiple (£30) I’ve had this in my collection for ages and it’s probably the first cream blush product I liked and found it easy to work with. I think I like the colour payoff even more than the original powder blush version, but they are both gorgeous either way. This is the mini and yet it’s lasted me a really long time.

Would repurchase

Glossier Boy Brow is my favourite coloured brow product but because of recent reports that have surfaced (upper management has been racist and unfair towards employees who are black or brown or other minorities, see more here), I don’t feel comfortable supporting the brand at the moment. I think I have a back-up of this, so will use it up, but will find an alternative afterwards.

Wouldn’t repurchase

Misc

Febreze Spray Fabrics (£2, 500ml) – was another purchase from Singapore as I haven’t seen it before, but apparently it’s available online. This smells FRESH! It’s particularly helpful after you’ve been out and the clothes aren’t that fresh but not ready to be washed (washing your clothing every time you wear it is so so bad for the environment!). I also spray my coats to refresh them.

Have about 10 backups!!

Have you tried any of these products? Anything you like or want to know more about?
