The new all-day Italian restaurant, Terra Terra gives new life to Finchley Road!
The atmosphere is great and the space is really nice, modern and inviting. Dark wood, marble, simple. It wasn’t particularly busy when we went as it was a weekday.
It’s an all-day restaurant so the vibe is quite relaxed. I’m personally used to seeing these types of restaurants in Soho or Fitzrovia rather than Northern London, it’s a great addition to the busy Finchley Road.
The menu is inspired by the food markets of Bologna and Florence, the dishes are simple with a twist.
The menu is small but to the point, a couple of pasta dishes, a couple of pizzas and a few small plates.
We ordered a few starters to share: cacio e pepe arancini, chicken Milanese, burrata then for main wild mushroom, taleggio pizza, and clam pasta.
The cacio e Pepe arancini was really good, particularly the sauce. The Milanese was good the tomato and cheese were really tasty. From the mains I preferred the pizza as I’m not a huge fan of clams in general. I would describe the mains as medium size-wise, so ordering a couple of starters to share would be a good idea. For dessert, we shared a pannacotta as we were actually too full! Sweet but not too sweet, the perfect balance.
Price-wise I think the menu is really good. Starters are about £7, mains from £10-15 depending on the type of dish.
I’ll definitely be back, and perhaps for breakfast too!
