Online jewellery shop My Flash Trash held a bloggers event today at Aubaine in Marylebone that involved decorating muffins and biscuits with sprinkles and edible sparkly diamonds. Obviously I was sold, and what better way to brighten up a gray London morning (with a tube strike too) than by decorating and eating cake? 
My Flash Trash was founded in 2008 by Amber Atherton who studied Fashion Management at London College of Fashion and worked for Vogue, Hermes and others while developing the website.
We got to see part of the current jewellery collection and several pieces were already sold today. I couldn’t resist and bought one for myself, this beautiful gold ring, it’s the Filigree Armour ring by Flash Trash Girl.
The little bags are just a little taste of the re-design the website is going through at the moment, which will be revealed in the next couple of weeks.
The website has an eclectic mix of mid range jewellery (the kind you might find at Topshop but better quality) from up-and-coming designers and established ones as well.
It’s definitely worth checking out, my bank account won’t be happy.
Can’t wait for their relaunch.
