A Bank Holiday weekend calls for a short break away from grey London. Spain was just close and sunny enough, so Mallorca was the place of choice. We stayed at Cala D’Or, located in the east coast of the island. The city was much smaller than Palma which was great as we needed to relax. Have a look at what I got up to below… Mallorca is part of the Balearic Islands and the name means ‘big island’, as opposed to ‘small island’ which is Minorca. It is known for it’s beaches and has Roman and Moorish remains.

Even though it wasn’t super warm it was good enough to walk around semi-dressed (in shorts that is!) and enjoy the sunshine. I would definitely go back, maybe during the hotter months and explore even more.
Part 2 coming soon!
