Christmas in July Beauty previews

In the real world seeing Christmas products in the middle of the summer (while loads of people haven’t even been on summer holidays yet) may seem rather odd, but many retailers choose to showcase their Christmas offerings in July (often referred to as ‘Christmas in July’). There are many new offerings from my favourite beauty brands, expect loads of glitter, beautiful shades and exclusives, and of course many advent calendars as always.

Charlotte Tilbury unveiled her new Lux palettes (£39), which now finally includes 4 glitter shades instead of just two (and two mattes), as well as the latest version of her Instant Eye Palette (£60) in red tones, perfect for the holidays. And of course her Beauty Universe advent calendar (£150) with minis and full sizes of her best-selling products.

Chantecaille has a limited edition highlighter palette (£100) with a beautiful pearl-encrusted case, in conjunction with their 20th year anniversary, as well as a face brush (£36) (their brushes are now completely vegan FYI) and a new shade in their super popular lipgloss in a rosy pink shade (£28). All available in October.

From Diptyque I am always in love with their three Christmas scents and the beautiful illustrations that come with them. Even though they are slightly more expensive than normal candles, they are definitely worth it – you can really smell them in the room even unlit. They also have an advent calendar for yet another season. Last year it was £300 so I imagine that’s along the same lines this time around.

Not just for Christmas but Slip who help with the general anti-aging/smoothness of your hair/face/eyes are coming out with silk scrunchies (£39), which look cute and functional and clearly within the 90’s trend.

This Works have some awesome sets for Christmas filled with their relax/re-energise minis, with prices from £10 to £70. And their latest launch is a ‘nap’ spray featuring the sale lovely ingredients of their best-selling lavender sleep spray but in a lower dose perfect for nap-time! And the travel pillow with a hood is the perfect companion for your naps (travel not necessary!).

And one I did not expect. Primark Beauty have some glittery Christmas palettes and highlights with really good payoff and cheap as chips! The eye palettes do have a certain Huda Beauty vibe but much cheaper obvs! Oh, and the whole line is now certified vegan, which is nice.

Selfridges also have super exciting launches, including the Charlotte Tilbury palettes exclusively, some more Slip products exclusively and have also brought over American makeup brand Natasha DenonaAfter swatching some colours I will most definitely try more of, they are insanely creamy and the pay-off is excellent.

Selfridges is definitely your stop for all the advent calendars, so have a look in store from October, and probably run don’t walk!

What’s the most exciting thing you want to receive for Christmas? Yes, it’s definitely early but all the sparkles got me thinking!
